I think everyone knows the famous saying "A picture is worth 1000 words". I would argue that a video is worth 1000 pictures, and if that is true, then a video is worth 1,000,000 words.

Quite literally, 10 seconds of video at 24 frames per second (the cinematic standard) is 240 pictures. That is 24 still images per second to create the video multiplied by the 10-second duration of the video. A 3-minute video is made up of 3,420 still images, which would be 3,420,000 words according to the saying.

Don't get me wrong, I love photography. The sites and images some people can capture are just ridiculous. I wish I had that talent with a camera. However, there is something extra special to me about videography and crafting a story through film. Videos can move me more than images. I laugh, I cry, I smile, I frown. I feel.

A year ago I started a Youtube channel to show the best moments of my life. I do it mostly for fun, but looking back on my creations over time, I really appreciate being able to relive the memories. I captured camping trips, senior-year homecoming, and more. These videos to me, are worth 1,000,000 words.

An emotional tribute I created for my college friends.
